Hi, I’m Amie Sykes.
I am proud to be a Registered Play Therapist and offering play therapy in my community. I also bring a few decades of experience in early childhood education as a teacher and in the last 7 years supporting early childhood educators to include children who had additional support needs, be this a diagnosed disability or other areas such as challenging behaviour.
My mission at Together Play Therapy is to create a safe, welcoming and therapeutic space for children and their families. I want children and their families to feel seen, understood and valued.
My passion is supporting relationships. I believe it is the foundation of everything and what gives our lives meaning and purpose. I know from my own experience as a parent and being an early childhood teacher, that at times relationships can be tricky! They can have conflict and cause stress. I hope that through your time with me at Together Play Therapy, your relationships with your child will be strengthened and you will feel supported and validated to keep the connection strong.
I have been living in the Blue Mountains for over 15 years, with my husband and two teenage children and menagerie of pets! I feel privileged to live in such a beautiful place and be part of the community here.
Please get in touch to find out more click here. I look forward to meeting you soon!
